I am very happy to write this letter.

First I wish to congratulate and thank each and every individual member for having participated in the Bone and Joint week celebration and made it a grand success.

Our journal JOJS is now indexed in DOAJ which is recognised by NMC. My congratulations to the editorial team Dr SURESH, KUMAR and Dr Ashok For having successfully indexed our journal. It is a great moment and I am sure our journal will get more and more articles and the quality will also improve by leaps and bounds.

Our first Tamil conference is going to be held at Thanjavur. I thank the organisers of this event Dr Gulam and his entire team, especially our dynamic Secretary Dr C J Ravi for their extraordinary commitment to make this, a historic one. I take this opportunity to welcome you all for participating and witness the beginning of a new chapter in TNOA journey.

I also want to thank the organisers of the TNOA mid year CME – Midwest Orthopaedic society- in a grand way at Yercaud and made it a huge success. That was also the first time when family Meet of the members, was held inviting all the Past office bearers and the contribution by their spouse was acknowledged in the same conference.

The TNOA music band was also inaugurated and it was very interesting. I am sure in the coming years our members will showcase their talents and take it to greater heights.

TNOA is also in the process of launching the masterclass program in our website thanks to our IT wing secretary Dr Varaprasad Renowned surgeons who are not in the regular teaching institutions and take part in the teaching activity, are encouraged to announce their difficult and interesting cases in the website. They can then invite interested members by permitting them to witness their surgery and teaching them.

All the efforts taken by the association will be meaningful only if the members actively take part and utilise it. I am sure all will contribute and participate in this endeavour.
